Nobel Prize 2010 for Medicine bagged by Robert Edwards

Robert Edwards (1925-), born in Manchester, England, has been awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for his IVF (human in-vitro fertilization) therapy - Edwards is known as thefather of the test tube baby. A test tube baby usually refers to a baby conceived through IVF. According to the official web site of the Nobel Prize, over 10% of couples experience infertility, and Edward's achievements have helped a significant number of them.
