Post Name : Commissioned Officer in Group ‘X’Qualification : (a) Graduate in Arts, Commerce or Science with B Ed degree or two years’ teaching experience in a Government Recognised School/College. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Graduation as well as B Ed. (b) Post-Graduate in MA English or MSc in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or MCA with B Ed degree or two years’ teaching experience in a Government recognised School/College.
DATE OF BIRTH BLOCK:(a) For Graduate candidates – Must be born between 01 OCTOBER 1987 to 31 AUGUST 1992 (Both days inclusive).
(b) For Post-Graduate candidates – Must be born between 01 OCTOBER 1984 to 31 AUGUST 1992 (Both days inclusive).
Medical Standards :-
(a) Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm.
(b) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(c) Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(d) Vision: Minimum Visual Standard: Unaided 6/36 and correctable to at least 6/9 for each eye with spectacles, Dioptectric power not exceeding + 3.5 including astigmatism. Full field of vision and Defective safe colour vision CP-II/III.
(e) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Written Test: Eligible candidates will be sent Admit Cards for appearing in written test scheduled to be held during the third week of April 2012 at any one of the examination centres listed at Paragraph 17. There will be two papers – an Objective type and a Descriptive type each. The Objective type of paper would cover General English, General Awareness and Current Affairs. The Descriptive type of paper would aim to test the language comprehension and power of expression. Both of the question papers will be administered in one go with duration of 40 and 35 minutes for Objective and Descriptive papers respectively. CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT): All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates completing the PFT in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds will be awarded additional marks on a sliding scale. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts.
Interview: - Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be nterviewed. Knowledge of English is a prerequisite.
