Pension age made 60 for those entering service from April 2013
The pension age of Kerala government employees has been made 60 for those who enter service from April 1, 2013 onwards. This was announced by Finance minister K M Mani in the budget. This is to bring into effect the National Pension Scheme.
This decision will not affect the youth as the pension age of present government employees would not be hiked. But at the same time this would prove beneficial in the future, according to the budget. The finance minister has not elaborated on this point in the budget speech. This detail was in the 107th page of the budget report. - Mathrubhumi news.
