Rodionova won the gold medal in Womens Singles Final common wealth games - 2010

A gritty Sania Mirza saved four match points in a heart-stopping Women's Singles Final before settling for a silver medal. She lost the action-packed final 3-6, 6-2, 6-7 to the top seed Anastasia Rodionova in Women’s Singles Tennis.

Rodionova thus became the first player to win the Gold medal while making her debut in the Commonwealth Games for Tennis

Nobel Prize 2010 for Medicine bagged by Robert Edwards

Robert Edwards (1925-), born in Manchester, England, has been awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for his IVF (human in-vitro fertilization) therapy - Edwards is known as thefather of the test tube baby. A test tube baby usually refers to a baby conceived through IVF. According to the official web site of the Nobel Prize, over 10% of couples experience infertility, and Edward's achievements have helped a significant number of them.
